August Flash Fiction: Day 30
It's the penultimate challenge!
Each day a new post with a picture (with a CC0 license), word count limit, and occasional additional twist will be published at 7:00 am EDT. You will then have until the next day's post to write your story.
You can then either keep it to yourself (a perfectly valid way to participate!) or you can share your story itself in the comments, or share a link in the comments where we can read your story (blog, Instagram etc.)
My daily story will be added to the post under the picture within the same deadline.
Aug. 30 Word Limit: 100
Aug. 30 photo prompt:
Your hair is different now. Darker and longer.
You move with a casual grace as you talk and gesture, beaming up at the man who dines across from you as he excuses himself from the table.
You smile to yourself and I wonder if you are planning to ruin him too, enjoying your scheming.
“Can I help you?” a voice asks, startling me out of the shadow.
They think I’m some monster waiting in the dark, when it’s you, the monster in plain sight.
