August Flash Fiction: Day 3
How is it going so far? Feeling the rush of creativity buzzing through your fingertips?
Each day a new post with a picture (with a CC0 license), word count limit, and occasional additional twist will be published at 7:00 am EDT. You will then have until the next day's post to write your story.
You can then either keep it to yourself (a perfectly valid way to participate!) or you can share your story itself in the comments, or share a link in the comments where we can read your story (blog, Instagram etc.)
My daily story will be added to the post under the picture within the same deadline.
Aug. 3 Word Count: 100
Aug. 3 Image Prompt:
“Get a dog, no one can be depressed with a dog by their side.”
Despite their apparent fundamental misunderstanding of depression, I got the dog.
Not the dog, Adira. My strong and powerful lady who still cried her puppy cries at night before she understood that I could be her mother now.
Sometimes I cried with her.
And then we dared to pursue adventure.
A dog won’t cure depression.
But when I watch her unmasked joy as she runs as she was meant to, unfettered and wild of heart, I smile and smile.
